Frequently Asked Questions

What does temporary staffing mean?
When you need to temporarily increase the size of your healthcare staff and expand your workforce, temporary medical staffing is the perfect solution. This can be a result of employee absences, temporary skill shortages, seasonal workloads and special projects. Depending on your organization’s need, a temporary assignment can last a day, a week, a month, several months, or perhaps even longer. It can also be the perfect solution to a particularly difficult shift you need to cover regularly.

Who is the employer of record for a temporary worker?
We consider our temporary medical staff to be Staff Providers Field Associates. Since our Field Associates are on the Staff Providers payroll, Staff Providers is the employer of record. We are responsible for paying all applicable payroll taxes and maintaining all applicable insurances such as worker’s compensation.

As a Med Plus Staffing employee, when do I get paid on a temporary assignment?
We provide daily pay to our employees. You can bring in your timeslips every day you work, or you can save them and bring in multiple timeslips. Our daily pay is 100% and not an advance. You also have the option of mailing or faxing your timeslips, and we can mail you your check.

Where is Med Plus located?
Our corporate headquarters is located at 12025 Manchester Road, Suite 135, Des Peres, MO 63131.

How soon can I expect to find work after I complete my paperwork?
Once you complete the required paperwork and are approved to proceed, our Staffing Coordinators begin immediately building their own working relationship you and coordinating what you are looking to do with what facilities are looking to fill or vice versa. Some flexibility may be needed on your part when booking orientations, which are based on the facility’s schedule, but we work very hard to get you working when, where and how often you choose.

Can I pick up shifts to fit my schedule?
Yes. Med Plus places employees on assignments that vary in location, time, and responsibilities.

What types of requirements exist to become an employee with Med Plus?
The requirements for our employees vary based on the assignment. It is best to touch base with the staffing coordinators in the office when you are seeking employment.

How does the placement process work?
You give us your availability. We will then schedule you at your preferred facility or facilities. On the day of the shift you need to call us 2 hours before your shift to see if the facility will need you. If you are cancelled we will then ask to rebook you at another facility if the need is there.
